The Galva, Kansas, community is mourning the death of Drew M. Ratzlaff, 38, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita following injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. His death was confirmed in an obituary published by Moundridge Funeral Home. According to the obituary, Drew was born September 2, 1987, in McPherson, Kansas, to Stan and Kim Ratzlaff. He attended Sunflower School in Galva and was known for his work as a carpenter with Wiebe Construction, Inc. He had also worked for many years alongside his father and brother at Stan Ratzlaff Construction, LLC, and had a strong love of farming. Drew was married to Amber Becker on May 29, 2011. He is survived by his wife, their daughter Breckyn, 10, and twin daughters, Leasia and Tyzhae, 8, as well as his parents, siblings, extended family, and many nieces and nephews. The accident was previously reported in late July, when a Galva man was critically injured after a pickup truck went off 330th Road and crashed into a creek west of Falcon Road in Marion County. Drew was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita in critical condition. His subsequent death has left family, friends, and members of the Galva community grieving a painful loss.
